Several years ago I found conscious parenting through the work of Dr. Shefali and this new approach changed everything for the better in our home. I was so convinced of the efficacy of this new way of parenting, that in 2022 I joined Dr. Shefali’s Institute to train and become certified myself as a Conscious Parenting Coach.

Dr. Shefali is a world-renowned clinical psychologist, speaker and author. Her books on conscious parenting are changing the way the western world approaches parenthood, by merging together eastern philosophies and western psychology.

As your Coach I can help you explore this revolutionary approach for yourself, apply its principles and guide you through the changes necessary to transform your parent-child relationship and bring harmony back to your home.

MY sTORY

My name is Gillian and I live in Galway on the west coast of Ireland with my husband, our teenage son, and our zen master doggie Stampy.

When my son was young and being a normal busy and vibrant little boy, I found myself regularly becoming highly reactive and overwhelmed, instead of the calm emotionally regulated parent he needed. I took every behaviour so personally and I was becoming so frustrated with a seeming lack of power to change the dynamic that I knew I was co-creating.

That was the start of my conscious parenting journey. I came across Dr. Shefali’s work in 2017 and I immediately started to get a better understanding of why I was feeling the way I was. I realised I was parenting on most days from a place of absolute fear and panic. I read all of Dr. Shefali’s books, completed several parenting and personal development courses, and sought coaching for myself. The inner work that I have done and continue to do, as well as the skills and strategies that I have learned through conscious parenting have fundamentally transformed my relationship with my son, my husband and most importantly, with myself. I now know wholeheartedly that I am a SUPER mom doing my best and that I have it all within me to face any challenges that come along.

Parenting today IS hugely demanding, IS stressful and a lot of the time it IS completely overwhelming. A conscious parenting approach offers real solutions to all of the problems and issues we encounter raising a family.
